Students' got involved in fairtrade fortnight with a few different activities, including a tasty taster session, We compared fairtrade to regular products...and we gave you all a free fairtrade hot drink!

We compared regular brownies, chocolate, banana's, cookies and flapjacks to Fairtrade ones and asked you to tell us which you preferred.

Mahtab Ghadri our Student Union President wrote down the results of who preferred what; turned out that most of you preferred fairtrade products apart from the brownie, however it was only by a few more 'likes'.

We also had People & Planet come in to deliver a special workshop about sweatshops and why it's important to shop fair. Oliver Parke our Equality & Diversity Officer is asking students to sign a petition for Electronics Watch as a result of attending this workshop.

Finally, did you know that our canteen stocks a wide range or fairtade products? Go check them out and let us know what you think!
