Lee Clarke our 3D tutor very kindly, ran a freebie workshop open to all students during our Go Green Week back in February.

The term "Upcycling" is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

These pieces of furniture were carefully prepared and cut by our fantastic technician known as "3d Dave". Students then sanded down and assembled in pairs into pieces of furniture for our Student Eats Garden. Exciting!

As a follow on from this workshop we have since arranged some more pallet furniture workshops with The Brick Project. So if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and enjoy being a part of something, come down on the 10th-12th June at 12pm we will making furniture for our allotment garden!

We need volunteers! Email c.donovan@wigan-leigh.ac.uk to get involved.
