Leah Hogarth our Welfare Officer ran a brilliant interactive Welfare event called "Making Your Mind Smile" Leah said of her campaign;
"I wanted to promote happiness within college so instead of focusing on what made people unhappy I wanted to try to make everyone happy! I think it was successful as many people walked away with smiles on their faces!"

Leah taught students how to make a little paper bag from upcycled reclaimed paper which were then filled with reminders and words of comfort;
An Erasure to rub out your mistakes
A Marble for if you lose yours
An Elastic Band to stretch you beyond your limits
A String to hold yourself together
A Plaster to heal you when you’re hurt
A Paperclip so you’re always organised
Leah called these “Little Bags of Happiness”
Not only did she get her craft on, but she asked you to map how you were feeling and invited you to vote for topics that effect you and what to run next year.
It turned out from our results students' mostly felt they needed more support and information around mental health. The Students' Union will be ensuirng we focus our campaigns on this. Secondly students' felt they wanted more information and signposting around sexual health.
